Many answers to man’s most acute problems have been given in dreams. Freud , Adler and Jung , all distinguished psychologists and psychiatrists have studied the symbols portrayed in dreams. The meaning of these symbols are personal and apply to each individual; the same symbol appearing to another member of the family or friend may have a completely different meaning.
It is believed that your dreams are projections of your subconscious mind, and have been known to warn people of impending dangers regarding investments, journeys and marriage.
Dreams are projections or dramatizations of your subconscious mind, they are not fatalistic. You can mold, fashion and shape you own future by your thoughts and feelings. Everything is subject to change, when you understand how your mind works you can know your own future. How is this possible? It occurs when one truly understands that one’s future is one’s present thinking made manifest .
Psychologists are interested in dreams as a key to unlocking the problems of the day. In sleep, your conscious mind is creatively joined to your subconscious mind. Sleep is not just to rest the body, as nothing rests when you sleep. All the functions of the body continue though they may be slowed down . Sleep can restore the energy levels of the body but much more is happening on other levels while you sleep.
Many successful people have acted on their hunches after a nap. I love those stories where people can dream where to find lost treasures. Psychological counselling is about finding a way that is custom fitted to the client out of a stuck situation and dream states reveal a lot. So take note of your dreaming and report back to your therapist!
